We are looking for community members who are willing to participate in Restorative Justice Peace Circles. This is a process that brings individuals together who wish to engage in honest communications, relationship development, and consensus-building activities in which healing and support are core desired outcomes. As a community participant, your role is integral in this process. What you discuss in your Peace Circle will be captured on a 5’x5′ fiberglass heart structure that will be displayed in your community. The local artist that participates in your Peace Circle will capture the essence of what you envisioned as a new normal.
Community Member Criteria:
– Be a member of one of the following communities: Chatham, Douglas, Grand Boulevard, Greater Grant Crossings, Hyde Park, Kenwood, Oakland, South Shore, Washington Park, and Woodlawn
– Participate in four(4) Restorative Justice Peace Circles during the weeks of July 19th and July 26th via Zoom
– Be available to attend the unveiling of your heart design on August 16, 2021.
