Participants: Youth and young adults ages 8-18
Duration: 6 weeks during the summer, and 12 weeks during the school year
Led by accomplished local artists and Circle Keepers, students explore their artistry as they create a mixed media mosaic that represents shared values, ideas, and creativity. Role-playing, modeling, reflective exercises, and small group discussions are used in this process to help participants navigate their social environment, interpret themselves, and collaborate with others. The finished mosaic is then proudly displayed at their school for everyone to enjoy. Discussions are sparked around the messages and experiences of the participants.
