Participants: Youth and young adults ages 16-24
Duration: 6 weeks
Educators and designers help students explore the fundamentals of entrepreneurship by developing products for resale. For the last six years, participants have created live Christmas wreaths, which they source, market, manufacture and sell under the name Wreaths of LUV.
By exploring the entrepreneurship process from inception to launch, participants acquire a foundational level of business acumen needed to start their own enterprise. The wreaths created by our participants have been sold in Macy’s on State Street and have adorned light posts in the Austin, Bronzeville, Chatham, Kenwood, South Shore, Washington Park, and Woodlawn neighborhoods.
