We are looking for ten (10) local artists to participate in our Parade of Hearts Project. As an artist, you are crucial to the process. You will participate in two (2) Peace Circles for a total of five (5) hours. The Peace Circle conversations will be held virtually (via Zoom) and will take place during the weeks of July 19th and July 26th. Your mission is to capture the essence of the community members’ definition of a new normal.
The $2,000 artist commission includes the costs for supplies. Please note that the materials used for the fiberglass, 3D heart structure will need to be permanent and weather resistant. If you are selected as an artist, you will design during August 2nd – 13th and the display period is August 16th – August 31st.
